 R5 battery dying

hi all

im trying to get ideas about a prob ive got with me R5 GTX
the battery keeps dying i have replaced the battery but if the car is parked for a day or over night the battery has to be charged and then if left again goes flat again any help v appriciated
The alternator have been checked and it is charging the battery it like something has a permanant charge but nothing can be found to be draning the power it just make no sense to me at all
It doesnt have an alarm but it does have remote locking but this has never worked since owning the car
any help v appriciated

possible culprits ive been made aware of as i have an identical problem, are bad earthing points, earth terminals, crossed wires along the loom shorting on something...

could check the haynes manual at the fault finding part too

na only kiddin, it could well b dodgey wiring at the battery terminals

aye battery terminals would be the 1st area to look at especially if they are the screw downs.

If you have a jump lead put the lead on the neg batt terminal and then onto a decent clean metal contact point on the engine, then leave it overnight.

If the car starts fine the next morning then thats a dodgy earth for sure.

But it could be a lot of things, drain through the starter, alt, interior lights etc etc

Easy way to check is get a multimeter select amps dissconnect the neg lead then put the probes on the batt terminal and the earth lead and you will get the current drain. It should be very low
