When I was 19 with my R19 16v with 2 years NCB I was paying £590 TPFT.

Now I'm 20 and 3yrs NCB on my Cordoba (grp 15, same as valver) I'm payin £480 TPFT.

r u sayin its cheaper to insure the ducati monster than the clio 16v?

bikes are normally cheaper.

They tend to not be used everyday, when they do crash the damage is less etc.

Indeed!

Put it this way, there are alot less personal injury claims than for cars...


I think the Clio 16V was around a grand which is way too much for what performance it offers.

Bikes are alot cheaper to insure, I think I can now insure an R1 (170 mph ish) which is in one of the top insurance groups for around £700 TPO.
I was paying more than that at 21 for the Monster!
