When i want to drove off but have to get out of a parking spot and turn the steering wheel when standing still(or almost still) it makes a hell of a racket and i can feel it in the steering wheel! it's knocking noise when turning the wheel. if i speed up a little there nothing. I thought well don't worry but lately it gets worse fast?! What could be on his way out or needs some sort of lubricant!? |

Today I found out that this only happens after the car had been left still. If i park the car up and turn the steering I don't have the knocking sound and feeling?? |

Yeah, shock absorber top mounts. Spray a load of WD40 in 'em and it stops them making such a bad noise. That's what the knocking noise was on mine anyway |

just open the bonnet, and look in the holes on top of the suspension turrets. You will probably see cracks round the mount thing, just spray WD40 in there. Its only a short term remedy mind. |

won't be a cracked mount as most have the new style, indeed it was a recall. the bearing will be seized solid or collapsed though. |
