5 out of 10 times i start my car (well, try to) it won't give power to the start motor. No clicking. No nothing.

No power is getting to it.

However. I still have all other power items (lights, dash lights etc) so the battery and it's connections are fine.

I have checked all the connections, taken them off, cleaned them all and put them back. Still i get nothing.

The only way to start it is to bump it. And it's now starting to piss me off.

Any ideas??

Cheers

you sure the solenoid wire (white) isn't ready to break off?

make sure the terminals on the solenoid haven't made its casing melt as they have on my white chammy.

Thanks very much friend, I think I have a similar problem, I fitted a new battery and now car sometime whines (slowly to stary) and some times I just here a click - I know the battery is brand new and working and the connections are deffinalty tight and clean as per your battery guide. I guess the next step is the starter?

But it was working fine before I put the battery on?

Sometimes it is trying to start ( not-cranking acts as if the battery is dead)?? Sad
