right bought a new one from gsf for the valver but could not figure out if there is something wrong with it or not
the original matrix that came of the car is a ""valeo"" make and quite wide comparing to the brand new one""magnetti marelli"" make i just bought.
the pipes going through are different sizes as well . valeo= bigger pipes
there is nothing wrong with the fitment or anything but just wondering if this new matrix is gonna give decent heat in the cabin or not if anybody fitted one before ????

Don't think you need to worry much. I've always been told the oe valeo thingy works best(same story with the rad) but looking at the technical aspects of a heater matrix i don't think it's gonna be a problem. It's alu and it absolutely will release heat although it will probably release less then the valeo make. But since we're not in countries where it's gonna be -30 it will work good enough. Simple way to check what's the diff in heat distribution: Boil water, put it in the matrix close both sides and feel how the warmth distributes and how long it takes to heat up properly, do the same with the old matrix and you'll probably know enough. |

good point there
i was just opening the insides of the old matrix to see the state it is in . covered in rust basicly ,i suppose rust could be treated by some chemical but that was not the main problem. there was a leak in the old matrix and i managed to see where it was leaking from as well .
no doubt i will get considerably more heat in the cabin ,but the most important thing is now i can put he dash back on |
