My mate Dom drove into town with me when I got my tyres fitted last week. He's got a mitsubishi FTO..... GPX model, tiptronic, full stainless system, induction kit the size of birmingham, just over 200bhp, etc........and it doesn't seem much quicker than my beast that only has a K&N 57i.....everything else standard. He was flooring it on the way in like trying to loose me, but I was keeping up and he was like "um....HOW??" when we got there lol, and I was kinda like the same. Was impressed I could keep up with such a car like. But anyway, on the way back from having tyres fitted.......I was infront and thought I'd see if he could keep up with mee............and he couldn't! I lost him lol. So how can my 137bhp 5dr hatch be seemingly quicker than his 200bhp japanese sports car?? I just don't get it. Nor does he. But yeah I thought the text I got off him when I got home was funny. I text him saying that I'd nearly crashed on way home cuz my new tyres weren't as grippy as I was expecting them to be and did he know if they had to be 'bedded in' at all......and I got this reply.....
400mph! Pretty impressive I thought |

Rustyarchs has a FTO GPX MIvec same engine as your mates with the crap auto box. He thinks its super fast but my 16V woudl have it.
I honestly far preffered his old rover 820, reminded me of my saab. |
