I like that web page. It's got the really cool custom chopper with the hot chick. Then below under "New Indoor Attractions" we have the "craft corner".

Maybe it's just me that has mental images of big bikers with beards pressing flowers and making wicker baskets. Laughing Laughing Rolling Eyes

Yeh chris, can't help watching it, the son (paulie jnr) not the stoner one, is pretty damn good. sometimes the arguments between him and his dad are funny to watch.

Well thing's didn't exactly go according to plan today!!!! Didn't even get started on the brakes til 4pm Rolling Eyes Then, couldn't get the damn disks off! Rolling Eyes (turned out they weren't as bad as I thought Very Happy ) so ended up just changing the desperately needed pads! Also had another major upset (see http://www.retro-renault.com/viewtopic.php?t=3257)

Should there be oil lying around the driveshaft?

PS. Not a big fan of American Chopper although I sometimes get forced to watch it and it can be amusing at times.

Chris doesn't like 'Oil' and 'Driveshafts' mentioned in the same sentence....

Well, firday went well saturday was good until my mate from cornwall came to work as i was leaving with the front end of his 306 smashed and bent.

Instead of going to my mates 18th I stayed at my house to help him sort his car.

He then went out at 12 at night with my friend (i don't know why I was asleep) and I recieved a text from my friend saying that his bonnet had lifted at 70mph and you can imagine what happend to the front windscreen and roof.

Well today I have the "mumps" (bullshit to get off work, as I have a gig) and that starts at 2:30-4:30 then I might do aome art coursework and watch T4.

last night went for a blast up towards the peak district, on the way i was having a blast down some lane, braked hard for a bend and the pedal went quite soft! bit scary! trundled back home.after a while brakes seemed fine again, had a look at the discs this morning and one is scored in the middle. whilst it was sunny today i took the ariel out and silconed it and hopefully this time i'll cure the dreaded leak. also cleaned and re oiled the air filter. next weekend its gonna get a mega cleaning session ready for the french car show

well as per usual, this weekends planned job of lowering the back end of my ph2 did not happen.
Loverly sunday afternoon, perfect for working on the car, go outside and first job i decide to do is the front bumper rubbers, mine are ripped and Neal's old hatch WOX donated its front bumper rubbers to mine, so that's done and i get the rest of the tools out to do the torsion bar when . .

this right attractive black girl ( i reckon she is about 19) comes over and says 'help'

she has a pug 106 auto and it wont start.

so over i go and take a look, yep car is not starting, no life what so ever, so i whip off the battery and put it on quick charge.
whilst the battery is off, i check all the connections, yep all earths and cables seem in good condition, the car is only like 5 years old and althou dirty in the engine bay, nothings corroded yet.
My charger only takes 45 minutes to charge a battery on quick charge, so after 40 mins i put battery back on car, yep all the lights come on, turn the key and nothing. not even a solonoid click.
memories of last week come flooding back when my starter died.
so down to the local scrappy and whip out another starter motor, back to her 106, old one off, new one on and she starts first key Smile
One very happy girl . . out comes her purse and she gives me £50!
i give it to her back and tell her just £20 will do as that is what the starter cost from the scrappy. she gives me the £20 and her phone number Smile

so nowt done to my car except the bumper rubbers and i CBA to do the torsion bar now, so maybe next weekend for that job. . .
