if you have a dodgy hose then replace them. The fluid might be leaking from the accumulator or into the pump.

Posting these isn't practicval mate as they are bulky and a bit heavy.

so this maybe causing all my problems? Also the speedo cable has nothing to do with the ABS, as i know some cars have a monitor on the speedo for the ABS, its just my speedo is reading, but the trip isnt.

speedo isn't used on any, its the reluctor rings at the wheels used for that.

cav turbos etc use the ABS to work the speedo.

Could it be an electrical problem? Do the brakes actually work? ABS has a fail safe (usually anyway - on the volvos it does), where if theres a fault the brakes work like normal non-ABS ones, and you get the light on the dash to inform you that youve got no ABS. I dont think its a mot failure, so as long as your not loosing fluid after you fix the hose, whip out the ABS bulb from your dash and your done! - thats if you cant afford/be bothered getting it fixed.

youd still be better off rid of it completely if its arseing about, when bendix ABS fails it could kill you when the pedal drops to the floor doing 70mph.

Bosch ABS is ok-ish in that its still safe and the brakes work when it fails. Im still going to remove it from my chamade.
