Just seen Chris's article on the fiat panda, and the pic with the 'ram-air' mod lol. Well I did have thoughts of doing that to the 19 a few weeks back. Kinda would need a ram-air style filter like a pipercross viper for it to work decently though wouldn't I? Like havin a hole in the bumper and pointing air straight at a filter like a K&N is pretty pointless right? Needs to be like an enclosed thingy? So yeah, the idea I had......I home make my own speakers and have got a spare 'bass reflex tube' which is basically a 'hole' that you fix to the speakers to allow air to move in and out of the cabinet (see pic - the big things at the bottom of the 2 biggest speakers, and the middle of the 2 middle speakers). The more air you move, the more sound is produced, etc........but anyway enough about speakers.......I have got a spare tube which has got a 60mm hole and I thought I could put in me bumper to try and do a ram-air thing. When I first had the idea I thought it was tremendous........but I'm starting to think it's a bit shit. Especially after looking at the back of the bumper and seeing how NOT straight forward it would be to cut a hole through it!!

lol.

I used to make speakers, I was really into hi-fi.

You use socks/straws to jam in the ports or do you have a proper sponge? lol

Ram air is a very missunderstood area. A hole in the bumper will do the job but not in the best way, a lot of air can just not go into the hole basically.

Simpley its not wortht the hassle.

Yeah, I'm really into me hi-fi too. My music system is 'large' to say the least lol. I'll have to take a pic of it when I get home. So everyone can see what I got and then come and rob me!

Yeah, started to think the ram-air thing was very pointless. All that hassle and ruining a bumper etc, and I probably would notice NO difference in driving the car, so it ain't worth it!

After the who likes what music thing thread. I dug out an old Pete Townsend casette. Both standard front door speaker grills started to vibrate. Now I can't even listen to the crap on the radio. -Riviera Radio-
Find it on the internet.

I phoned in a joke.

Whats the difference between a Yougurt and an Australien ???

You have to know that the presenter is Australien.

Yougurt has some culture in it.
