bollocks !!!! just noticed my windscreen must have been cracked last night driving home with 135mph
its not funny though ,whats the rule about the windscreen cracks ? i think the dimensions affect the mot ,dont they ?? |

Yep all to do with size and location. if it goes to the edge anywhere or any size it's a fail. within the drivers view (normally denoted by the drivers side wiper span) no bigger than 10mm and rest of winscreen i think it's 30mm (not sure on that though) but cracks can be repaired now some injection of a chemical and UV light removes 'bullseyes' and cracks! |

chk see if ur insurance covers glass.
mine didnt, and i paid 92quid for a new one fitted.
but for that price, i got the windscreen fitted at my place of work, ie they came to where i work and swapped it there and then.
cheaper than the big brands like, autoglass...they wanted about 250 for a new one! |

Mine was £120 and the guy came to the house. THink Christophers was £100. |

its not a wide but a long one i am afraid (i am on about the windscreen crack before any of you try to be smart )

As JB said prob best just getting a new one!
You'd only end up paying £50 quid or something silly to get it fixed.
Get a nice new one and you'll feel good. |

trust me i wont feel good at all either i have it fixed or replaced , you are talking about megabucks ,under normal circumstances that screen would last me another 10 years
