19 h reg tailgate hinge snapped had tailgate off ok took hinge off ok its broke leaving centre of pin in tailgate and outer edge pieces 2 in hinge had to grind and drill out pieces in hinge have dreilled slightly over dia size of pin hole but new pin has seration on one side so will be ok. thing is cant get drill into top of tailgate hinge tryed banging with punch but scared of breaking glass. can a garage get these help one not happy 19 owner but is fastened on one hinge with hatch locked also can u heat these up huing is welded to hatch any help suggestions ta |

I had the same problem, if you look in the progress report section on page 3 of project Y you will see how mine went.
Take the tailgate off then just bang it out with a punch, thats what I do. |
