Why? but here you go
my fav pic, I was driving the 19 in front of him doing about 80 and took this pic
Thats about it and I owned it last. The pics where it was being chopped up was my front garden! So I was the owner then.
I was quick, very quick for what it was. Rev limiter killed the fun most of the time as it was just getting going.
It was a rusty heap though and the extra power had killed the clutch - his driving didn't help either. I was the last to drive it, I drove it back from the scrappies with the clutch slipping like a mofo whilst he was in his new 19.
So the engine which head I sorted to a guy from inverness. |

Ah cools.
Was just curious as to what it looked like. That's a H reg RT isn't it?.
Lucky to find a 3dr RT, and in the best colour
Shame it ended up getting cut up
You say it was quick, but what exactly did you do to it?. |

I think he ported and polished the head on it, and it would get to 120mph quite easily, if memory serves! |

white 3 dr RT cost 250 quid with a years MOT on it, that was about 3/4 years ago. 105k miles on it at the time.
george painted the cover himself looked better from a distance I'll tell ye!
It was rusted in the usual clio spots and in the usual clio way, i.e. bad.
Because the scuttle had the usual rot the windscreen cracked big style when we jumped the car.
All I done was headwork on it, but what an advert for my headwoork it was I'll tell ye that!
Only problem was the idle was never smooth again, it was all over the shop. But it pulled like a demon.
Done a pug GTI6 up a big hill in edinburgh, kept up with a clio 16V and it beat my 2 litre 16V saab to 120.
It went over 120 but the 1.4 19's were better at the top end as we used to get 125 outta them round the bypass' easily, took time to get there right enough. |
