I know music isn't like what it used to be but who do you think is making the best music currently?
Now I know I'm gonna get flamed here but I've always liked Coldplay. Parachutes was their first, and IMO best album, nothing they've done since has lived up to it, but I wouldn't say that the stuff their producing currently is bad.
Not normally into RnB-style music but I've got Lemar's album 'Time to Grow' and I'm a big lover of Lara McAllen/Angel City's music.
What about you guys, which bands/artists/groups that are making music currently are you enjoying listening to? |

Coldplay are gash. I bought yes me actually going out and buying a real cd, unheard of! Bought parachutes, what a load of tosh aside from 1/2 songs.
Their new stuff is worse tbh.
Lemar, a bit happy girly for me but he does have a wide ranging appeal, hes set himself up nicely as its music your baby sister can listen to and your granny.
Its not all about bitches, cars, crack, guns and bitches.
Current crop, hard to say as theres a lot who release 1 decent tune then fade into obscurity.
Hip hop scene has became more poppy/mainstream, thats a blessing and a curse, theres a lot more softer stuff out there whichis quite good. Buut the wanna be gangsta's like 50 cent release a few good tunes and a load of crap. Also everyoen and their granny are members of G unit now.
Franz Ferdinand are ok, their album is one you can listen to all ther way through. Razorlight are ok.
U2 have gone to crap, last best album was zoorpa from them. |

A lot of current music is utter crap. Take the UK top 40 for instance. A God damn Frog is number one. Shows what competition it has.
Currently listening to the new Finch album "Say Hello To Sunshine" and Funeral For A Friends "Hours". All good stuff and not too mainstream |
