I've just noticed that my spark plug cover has got 'vents' or something towards the back of it (for letting more water in ) and schackal's and the 'carbon fibre' one haven't. Is that a difference between ph1 and ph2 engines?
I could just print out a design at work and slap it on the spark plug cover, but I expect the vinyl would melt with that heat. But then saying that, the Williams logo I made and stuck directly to the engine (just infront of spark plug cover) is still goin strong and hasn't melted! |

so where are the pictures than neo ??
i need to make one of them things to keep the water away from my plug wells.
also the plastic cover was looking wanky and was wobbling around ,now i made this metal one of my smashed door and used some springs on the plastic screws for the added aahhh |
what pics ?
there is not a lot inside the engine bay of the ph1 at the mo, lol, loom removed, engine removed, gearbox removed, radiator and all the hoses removed, no battery, no ECU, no aux fuse box, no PAS pump and no splash guard/water deflector thingie.
the water deflector is one of these
mine is the carbon one and it does not have the hill power sticker on it.
its clipped onto the strut brace and sits over the whole of the rocker cover and any water that comes thru the vent goes like chris said, over the exhaust manifold.
i've not found it to be needed on my ph2 as it has the orginal water catcher thingie still under the vent. |

after leaving the cover to a rest for few days today i managed to treat the whole surface with some polish ,i believe it also eased the sticker as well and the letters came out piss easy without damaging the black paint. just needs a coat of laquer now
i dont think its a bad job after all ,its not plastic its metal (made of my smashed door). its not a sticker ,its a 2 color spray paint job and its unique . thus i am a happy chav
hope i inspired a few others as well |

On a different but somewhat similar topic, what does the S mean on the continental versions of the 16v? The 16's' ? |
