ok folks im hopin someone may have come across this problem, I have a 1995 1.4 rt 19 thats blowin oil out of the dipstick tube when up to operatin temp, does it above about 2500 revs.AA mans had a gander and he reckons blocked breather causin sump pressure (remove oil filler cap, no longer happens).. now the question is where are the breathers, ive cleaned out the obvious rocker cover ones, where should i be lookin for any others?Been down to Renault garage and they didnt seem to think there were any on the block.....any help greatly appreciated , even if its tellin me its shagged |

the only breathers are the 2 on the rocker cover.
sounds like you have excessive blowby, could be knackered rings or a leaky headgasket allowing gasses into the sump.
when you have the filler cap off how hard does the air come out? |
