I've never really been a believer of these supplements that you put in your engine.
Magic formulas that can fix endless problems and restore all performance back into your engine.
A placebo for your car i thought.
Anyway, my car was sounding a little ropey over the weekend so whilst i was at the garage, thought i would try some of these magic formulas out, see if they are as good as they make out to be.
I went for the Wynn's hydraulic valve treatment and just for the hell of it, the Wynn's injector cleaner.
After a long drive with both in the engine there was a definate noticeable difference.
Pulled up at the traffic lights and the engine was purring like a kitten, no more dancing tappets.
As for the injector cleaner, it did feel like it made some difference. Car was a tiny bit more responsive and idled a lot smoother than before.
Overall, i am fairly impressed with the results and have learned not to be so cynical when it comes to these kinds of products. |

Whats the difference between wynns carb cleaner and others then?
Surely the carb will only get so clean, no matter which one you use? |

oh you havent used Wynn's have you
Its really blasts out of the can, blasting shit off everything....downside to this high pressure is that it runs out quick...but take a TB for example, you will hardly need a brush, just blasts it all clean. |

I see what you mean now.
Think I'll give it a go while I still have the car in pieces. |

Your supposed to put the injector cleaner into a full tank of fuel.
I put it into less than quarter to run it more concentrate.
I don't think it will make a difference unless your fuel system is gunked up though, even then it is only a very slight difference. |
