Im quite interested in buying this car but as you can see from the ad it has been sitting for about 5 years!! I was thinking that as long as the engine runs ok and the brakes aren't seized then after a good service an engine tune and a long run or two it should be ok. However, im not the Renault expert! Obviously i would usually travel to see it, start it etc but its in manchester and i dont have the time. What do you think?
Cheers |

when i got my vitesse it hadnt been started since 1988, i took plugs out and kept putting a few drops of oil down the cylinders and turned it over by hand everyday for about 10 daysthen you get the prob of trying to do oil change, you cant get all that crap out i ended up striping the lump and rebuilding it. now that is one heavy engine, straight 6 2ltr
sorry for going of topic, but be careful if you do go look at it, dont just try and start it |
