19 has a different diff ratio.
It launches better and pulls better than the clio.
Also i would also imagine the difference in inlet manifold runner length, downpipe and exhaust system would also make the 19 have more torque.
Clio Dp has been belted in at the dog bone mount to clear it, not very neat. Theres also a pair of rather tight 90 degree bends in the exhaust
The clio owners will come and argue but I and a fair few others with 19's have yet to be beaten by a clio 16V. |

inlet manifolds look the same to me...except for the bit exiting the side where the TB bolts on...which is a bit longer on one...apart from that they seem identical... |

19 manifold sticks out further it has longer runners and the 19's TB flange sticks out further. both dictate more torque oin the 19's engone. but theres not much in it really. |

thats why the clio one is different, its shorter to it doesn't have as much chance to hit the slam panel. with a dodgy dog bone the clio manifold won;t touch it but the 19 engine fits and with a dodgy dog bone it will touch. |

you gonna stick a 19 manifold on a clio 16v?
remember in the 19 the enging is also tilted back further to. |

No i am gunna place a 19 manifold on a flat surface next to a clio manifold...standing on their mounting faces.
thats if i still have a clio manifold lying around which i am sure i do... |

If anything the GTT will fit easier into the 19's bay as it's a lot bigger than a Clio's! |
