yeah, it needs a good service tbh, cash as always is the problem.

Needs plugs, filters, back pressure in the cat area etc etc

Dunno why the hatches engine was a bit of a demon, but boy did it shift, hitting 125mph from a standstill at the lights at the start of the sliproad when joining the motorway, just over 1/4 of a mile, not much and uphill.

Hitting the limiter in less than a mile from 70mph with 4 people in it.

yes that engine is in the back garden on a stolen makro flat bed trolley along with its box that popped the diff circlip 3 times.

No fecking way am I binning that lump.

cos I'm saving it for something special.

the chamades nice but not that bnice.

The hatch was a better car despite beign as safe as a brown paper bag in a crash, it was faster, braked better and handled a lot better and was better in the wet.

Granted a lot of that will be sorted with new tyres, suspension and proper alignment but thats not the point.

Who knows what damage was done to the lump when you bounced it off the limiter from freezing for about 6 seconds.... plus the gear selector rod fucking the box when dropping lump.....

Still I miss the hatch
