.HI ALL AGAIN GOT FUEL PUMP WORKING,,WHEN I WENT TO CHECK SPARK PLUGS I NOTICED OIL ON TOP OF 2 OF THEM,,,AND THE 1,S THAT HAD NO OIL ON I TOOK OUT,,,,BUT 2 MY SURPRIZE THEY WERE COVERED IN OIL EVEN WORSE,,,,COULD THIS BE THE HEAD GASKET AND ROCKER GASKET....IF SO IS THIS A EASY JOB,OR WOULD IT BE 1 FOR THE PRO,S...IF SO HOW MUCH WOULD THIS JOB COST IN ALL....MANY REGARDS LEE(J-REG 16V CLIO)[/b] |

its most probably the rocker cover gasket ,either needs tightening the bolts on top or needs a new one ,about 15-20 quid from motor factors and a piss easy job to do |

cheers schakal....what about the oil on bottom of plugs,would this be the same problem m8.... |

yeah ,the oil gets to the plugs in the end naturally
just one thing here ,dont overtighten the rocker cover bolts as you might snap them in the process. |

lol the oil is on the plugs cos when you took them out the oil that was sitting on top of them due to your leaky rocker cover just ran over them as you pulled it out.
the gasket is anything from about 3 to 8 quid. |

would this prob still stop the car from starting though....im still thinkin when i disconnected the thob key in the glovebox,and bypassed it...i may have done it wrong |

this prob would cause the engine to missfire and i suppose it may prevent it from firing up if 2 plugs have been taken out by it. |
