Have a look at your rear brakes, they may need a clean, remember to use copper grease as on the back of the pads and on the runners as it stops this squeaking happening.
It could also indicate that your rear brake pads or shoes (depending on your car)could be worn, if so get new ones fitted.

More of these posts Rizla, lets forget about the other stuff eh?

the rear shoes pivot will be dry, the brakes press on the shoe but the handbrake pulls on a lever on the shoe so you get a squeak.

what if i spray wd40 into drum itll burn off excess as drums are a real pain to get off also its beenfitted with new rear shoes only recently it also makes this noise when braking also it feels as though its braking in step formation from pedel feel i get a lot of rusty looking dust on front alloys me thinks new discs and pads required soon is their an easy way to undo the disk retaining torxs thanks for your reply not a racist comment in sight up the haggis

no to the wd40.

the drums normally coem off fine, get the drum off clean it out and copper grease the pivot.

front torx screws, put the bit in then belt it with a hammer then it should undo nicely. get someone to press the brake though.
