how the hell do you seperate the rear disc from the rear caliper as I can't get the 2 seperated I can get the disc off I can get the caliper off but I can't seperate the disc from the caliper. the hand brake is off and the rear calipers are brembo help!!!!!! |

nope taken the caliper bolts out taken the pin out of the pads so there's nothing holding the pads in and I can't get the capliper of the disc its loose it just will not come off! what haven't I done? |

i would just run the engine and press the brakes a few times david ,just to give the pads a good old move that is |

If you took the pin out then that would suggest the slidey thing is still there which would stop the pads pulling out??? |

cannae mind the brembo setup but if theres a lip on the edge of the disc get a file/chisel on it and grind it down.
Then the pads should come out (anti rattle clips may be holding them in, they may be the clamp type).
Anyway try getting rid of the lip other than that get us a pic which will refresh my memory. |

aha so hack the edge off the disc and it should all come apart. like I said the pins out so there isn't any thing holding the pads in but just cannot seperate the pads from the disc. |

no hand brake was off , so will hack the edge off the disc and should then be able to seperate disc from caliper and also change the pads at the same time, well thats the theory. On these brembo calipers you have to take the calipers off to change the pads great design |
