The toothed spline had gone on the sunroof motor as advised by the previous owner who had removed the motor (I have just purchased the vehicle). I have purchased a secondhand serviceable motor.
On installing the motor I found that the switch activated the motor but the roof only moved a few mms. I assume the motor is out of sync with the roof?
After removing the motor from the mechanism and switching to try differnt positions within the motor within the roof mountings I discover the motor no longer works. I checked the old motor (which I assume worked) but that works neither.
I have checked all fuses below the drivers dash but they are all OK.
Here are my questions -
1. How do I get the motor to work? Have I missed some other fuses? (I have no owners manual) The motor loom includes a 'Webasto' relay - could that have blown?
2. What process is there for aligning the motor position with the sunroof mechanism?
TIA

ohh tricky one.
If the relay isn't switching then its safe to assume no powers getting to it so theres a fuse or something somehwere thats popped.
As for a;lignign it its a case of mess about till it works really. |
