I've just been watching the clio 16v and williams rally video i've got and for both cars it gives the full spec.
This includes a 6 speed box on both cars.
Was this specially made for the rally cars or is there a 6 speeder available for the F7P? |

I'm looking in to this myself at the moment as I remember the Dealer Racing 19's having a 6 speed box to. The only 6 speed boxes I can find are those fitted to the current Megane Sports and I believe that they are a Nissan design cable box rather than the JC3 Rod type. Even the Laguna 2 has a 6 speed box coupled to the newer F4 Series blocks so *could* potentially fit an F7P or F7R... just gotta look in to possible layshaft issues.

Would a Pug series box fit a Renault F series block Stan or am I being a proper newb that doesn't know you secretly have an MI16 powered 205?
I've got the local Renault garages Tech Expert looking in to how feasable the conversion is as the sequential boxes are cable selector driven so this is gonna be the first thing to convert and that's if the lay shafts are ok to. |

a 6 speed sequential fits straight on (same casing as the 19/clio box jb3?) I looked into this about 4 years ago but at 6k I couldn't afford 1 still can't and never will be
but the good thing is they are built to your own spec I did have some contact details somewhere I'll see if I can look them out if any ones interested. |

well it may not be that particular box but it is made by sadev, and it will cost a fortune. And before you ask I have never seen a second hand one for sale. The other thing I thought of was to go to your local freindly gearbox referb'ers and ask them if they can do something, maybe finding out if Quafe 6 speed ratio's will fit the standard casing, just a thought, it might save a few quid. |
