hi guys, got a couple of questions for you. nothing too taxing I want to do an oil change on megane coupe 1.6 16v gearbox. The spec for the oil is 75/80, but Im having trouble getting hold of this. A guy at CES, local major car parts outlet, says 75/90 is a newer spec and is ok to use. Can anyone tell me if this is correct or should I stick to original spec ?
Has anyone ever used an additive in their box oil, STP or MOLYSLIP,and was it any good. Reason I ask is that my box has started whining slightly and thought this may help to prolong its life and delay an eventual transplant.
Thanks in advance for your replies |

75/90 is fine. Don't use additives. |
