Hey all,
Just a quick question, can you buy the bottom UJ on the steering colum the one that connects to the rack? if so where from? Cant find any firms that list it. Also is the top of the UJ a pressed fit with the roll pin just holding it in place? As its loose on mine

Can't answer the 1st part but the top UJ is held in by 2 pins, mine came loose [one fell out] so i welded the UJ to the column. |

When mine went I got a second hand one as there was a months wait from Renault.
Wouldn't recommend it though as most of the second hand ones would be knackered. I got lucky and mine was fine and that was nearly 3 years ago and it's still fine.
You can weld the UJ as Leigh said or you can use small shims and self tappers as Chris did one one of his project cars. Can't remember which one though. |
