Be an extra in this movie, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0349683/
Had the costume fit today, look a right tit in all the medievil peasent getup.
Will post some pics tomorrow when I get back, 100 quid for todays 1 hours work and however long it lasts tomorrow, can't complain.
My dad the lucky git is going to be a full on flaming arrow shooting archer, not sure i'd trust a 56 year old who needs glasses with a fire arrow and bow, esp as he can't ewear the glasses when shooting the scene! |

*shamelesly copied from another forum as I can't be arsed to explain everything again*
Was a good and bad day sunday, and fucking long.
Woke up at 6, got there for 9.
Had breakfast.
Got changed, queued to get me wig put on and styled (lol).
Queued to get my costume dirty.
spent 3 hours sitting on my arse in a field in the sun whilst the other 500 people did the same.
Queued for lunch.
Ate a bit of lunch.
Threw the rest of lunch away as it was digusting, cold chips and pink chicken.
After lunch, time to go on set, '10 minute' walk away.
25 minutes and almost there, last part to get down to the set (which was made up like a mini stonehenge on the edge of a cliff) was a 45 degree slope with loose rocks. But no problem getting down as they put up a piece of rope that wasn't even tought Although watching the fat old people was funny.
Waited on set for an hour, had more skanky makeup stuff put on to make me look filthy.
Main actors arrive, do the scene a few times then we film.
Scene was only about a minute long, its at the very very end of the film when Arthur and Gueniviere get married by Merlin.
He marries them, they kiss, we go ahhhhh and clap. Arthur says a few profound words, then pulls out excaliber and holds it in the air whilst everyone else cheers "Arthur, Arthur" over and over again. I just stood there feeling like an idiot.
Then the grand finale, Arthur points over to the row of 10-15 archers on the edge of cliff, they all raise their bows and shoot flaming arrows into the sea (my dad got to do this). The end.
They then made us wait 3 or 4 hours as they wanted to do a sunset shot of all the flaming stuff from a helicopter. To cut a very long story and just make it long, they fucked up, waited too long, it got too dark and they just stopped and said thanks very much you can go home now.
Still, was kinda fun, made 120 quid, got to stand right next to the two main people, Clive Owen and Keira Nightly and should be in the final film as I ended up standing at the front during the wedding bit. I hope so then you can all see how fucking redicuous my costume was.
And now I ache like fuck and have sunburn. |

Was a hard wya to earn 120 quid, not cos the work itself was hard piece of piss, just a pain in the ass boring way to do it. |
