Hi, Left work yesterday to find that my 1998 Megane wouldn't start. I have read all the posts about the immobiliser problems but I'm not sure if it's the same problem I'm having. When I turn the key the srater motor sounds fine but the engine just doesn't engage. The immobiliser light stays red as the starter motor is turning. Any thoughts / suggestions welcome. It's booked into main dealer on Tuesday and gonna cost a small fortune... Thanks and great site. |

yes the immobilise risn;t disengaging. you got another key? you should have got 2 keys, try the other one.
98 could either be the rolling code but if the doors plip then its prob the transponder key and you have an issue with the receiver around the lock barrel. |
