i've been gettting a nice knocking when driving, as though there is a small brick stuck to a certain part of the tyre [just so you can imagine how it is] changed driveshafts this weekend still there [had to change tham as 3 out of 4 boots had amzingly split!!] but knocking is still there. Got the car in the air and stiped everything down to the hub, as I tried to turn the hub by hand i found a 'notch' where the hub/shaft would stick and required more force to release. This is obviously the knocking i'm getting, I suspect the Diff has gone but is there anything else that i should check before buying a new box? the bearings in the hubs are only a month oldand have new driveshafts. so am i looking at a new box? |

not a wheel bearing definately not. checked them while driveshaftr was out, span nice and smoothly. They are new and you can hear the 'notch' point within the gearbox. |
