Hi
I am having problems with my alternator - it was a reconditioned one that I bought earlier this year - and I think its not charging the battery. I have a 19 16v (93) cabriolet. Its due to go into the garage again on Friday for a full voltage test - just to rule out any other problem. If it is the alternator - what is the best way to take the alternator out. Reading posts on this forum - it appears that taking the radiator out is better than taking the manifold off (which I think was the method the garage used earlier in the year when I had the alternator replaced the first time!!!!)

I take the radiator out as I find I can do the job in a few minutes.
Others will say pop the headlight out cos they don't want to drain the coolant. |
