Ah, reading the full story, its basically just an old '60s soviet rocket.
Bloody commies sharing their old cast off technology. I guess China's proposed station in the next 5 years might bear a resemblance to Mir.
Not taking putting people in space for granted, but that's not exactly a huge leap forward is it. But I suppose it's impressive for a country that's still part of the developing world. |

its scary in a way. China throws a hissy fit we all go down!
They also don't mind sending civilians etc off to doie for no reason. Safety is not an issue! |

Yep, full credit to the Chinese astronauts, they must have balls of steel or just not care whether they live or die.
Death or Glory! |

tbh I doubt they had a choice.
Middle of the night door kicked in, "your going to space boy, move!"
looks how many deaths have been for stupid things cos corners have been cut! Or shoddy workmanship etc has happened.
Look at Chernobyl.
Although I have to say, I wouldn't mind getting punted off into space, even if I didn't come back, food water, feck load of fuel, I'll go explore! |

Yeah, life is cheap in China.
"everything sent into space was developed and made in China"
I second the Toys r us remotes! Not exactly confidence building is it?
They are bound to run out of rocket fuel at some critical moment or need to bang on the control console periodically... |

If you ask me it seems a bit over the top really. I mean who wants a takeaway in space?!?.................Oh the Americans would
Bet you that's what it's all about, I think china may have missed the 45min or free deadline... |

Kinda 40 years too late though eh? I find it worrying though, they are just follwing the US path and with the booming economy etc it won't take them as long as 40 years to play catch up |
