its occured to me that if the trip comp/fuel economy thing works out the distance travelled by how many times the driveshafts rotate (which i assume it does, it certainly doesnt use GPS ), then if you put bigger wheels on than the 15s that the car came with, then surely what it works out for your distance travelled will be inaccurate, and so will the mpg and so on.
I know that 17"s with low profile tyres arent that much different in diameter to 15"s with normal tyres but there is stall a small difference, and it would be enough to throw everything out? |
