Having attached the Laguna gearbox to the F7P engine and dropped it back in to the engine bay I now find that the main gearbox mounting does not match up with the Clio chassis.
The JB3048 bracket just fits onto one hole on the new gearbox. I understood the gearbox would fit the engine but nothing was mentioned about the bracket
The Laguna bracket is far too long, the only way I see around this is either to get the proper gearbox or make some sort of bracket to adopt the JB3048 bracket....
Anyone have any suggestions or advice? |

Both, the Clio gearbox bracket doesn't fit the new box (wrong holes) and the alternative which is the Laguna gearbox bracket is too long to match with the Clio chasis bracket, it comes right against the side of the engine bay...
I have all the parts of the Laguna. |

we talking about the rear barcketr for the dog bone, or the top gearbox bracket which bolts to the chassis leg. all jb3 boxes have the same box casing regardless of car. only the jc5 boxes r slightly different.

Top gearbox bracket.
The code is JB3100, it is from a 97ish Laguna 1.8.
There are three holes and two of them are more towards the end of the box than the JB3048. |
