large dents may "pop" back into original position if u can push them from behind....if u cant access them from behind then u may have to drill a small hole from the outside, insert a self taper and pull the dent out...if your lucky it will pop back clean...then u just need to fill and spray the hole. bare in mind all dent usually stretch the metal a bit so it will never be a perfect line again.
smaller "dings" dont really pop back out tidy so you just have to try ur best to get it back out....
BUT which ever way it is, generally to get a perfect finish your gunna need to fill it.
u just need ot keep tappin it with a hammer and dollies if available, until the dent is more or less just under flush wth the surrounding body work....put a long file or long bit of straight wood with harsh wet n dry over the area to see how the levels are coming up...get it all as best u can with the hammer but always keepni it just under flush
then fill it with bodyfiller...overflush both cos it sinks when it goes off and also u need to be able to rub it back to a smooth surface.
rub it down with wet n dry using a block....the block is important to keep the contours of the rest of the body...if u just use ur hand, ur hand just flexes and follows whatever shape the filler was when applied so it never relaly blends in.
the smoother u get this finish the smoother and more shine the finished painted result will be. |

another trick is to use the back of a spoon from behind. put something between the spoon and the metal so it slides easily. can also use a hairdryer to gently warm the metal from the outside. |
