hello all again
now when i turn the left indicator on it makes the rear light flash also
but when i put the hazards on it stops it doing that and goes back to normal. this happened since i had a boot leak and check t see where it was when i took the rear cluster off it had water in the cluster so changed the bulb holding thing for the right hand side one i think it may have corroded the wire connections to that cluster is there a way of taking the wiring out of the black connector and clening them up. cheers in advance |

fold the plastic on the connector off and you will see the spade terminals |

so they can come out without braking them then chris and do you thing if i clean them up it should solve the problem |

yes they can come out, fold the back down and have a look, to remove the seperate terminal ou need a small screwdriver to lever the tag up and out.
sounds like an earth fault to me, what car is it? |

r19 16v it only started after the water in the cluster but sometimes i have to slam the boot down so maybe the earth inthere has come loose |

earths are under the clusters inside, 10mm bolts. |

cheers mate i check that out thursday on me day off while im changing the earth strap on the gearbox. i notic on one of your tech article about add a earth from the battery to the bulk head where the one from the engine goes is that right as i may do that as well |
