the 25 quid one is a p2 hatch. I'm going to throw it through an MOT and use it as it's far too good to break. It was a steal for that money and it didn't take much to get it runing.

the white one is going to be parked up for a bit now due to the bottom end being fecked but that just means it can be my project car and I can sort it out properly without having to rush the job.

How did you get it back in the end Doc?

What was wrong with it?

Looking forward to a progress report / pics! I thought my £200 valver was a bargin, although I guess it did have 10mts MOT.

sorry to hear the ph1 is feckered docs but when you think about it ,may be it was for the best mate .imagine having your spanking new head fitted and after a few weeks the bottom end goes and smashes everything else up .
now you can do a full refurb on the bottom end too and you wont have to worry about it for years (fingers crossed )

your grille is coming up nicely btw ,just finished dry sanding (nasty job)
will have to fill up again and smooth it down shortly.

The tyres were flat, the battery was dead and there were only 2 wheel bolts holding the rear passenger wheel on as two had snapped off.The speedo cable is disconnected as it has streached and the washer jets don't work but supprizingly the breaks came free with a but of a push.
The list althugh short does go on but I'll cover the rest in the progress report.

I drove it back at 50ish and since yesterday it's done about 170 miles, not bad for a car that hadn't moved for over a year. Twisted Evil

The guys misses didn't want to sell the car as she was wanting it for herself and TBH when thay saw how quickly we got the car running they must have both been feeling gutted. Razz

Schaks, if you've not got the white paint yet I'll have that grille in blue Wink . Although don't bother if it's going to put you out mate.

that Kia shit heap

1.6 104bhp!

it was so slow it wasn't funny.

I got it wheelspinning and the CV joints knocking

also drank petrol like no tomorrow!

Got it with 500 miles on the clock and we knackered it before it got to 800.
