Well recently things have been getting me down. been feeling as though i'm metting my potential and there is more out there. As you may remeber I ghot engaged earlier this year, but things haven't been rosie, mainly due to me being unsettled about somthing. Well yeaterday I decided that I wanted to get away. I am off to Barbados for 6 weeks either in March or June [depends on work as i wamt to be able to come back if things don't work out]. The misses said she doesn't want to go, which i suspected, but explained it's something I need to do. anyway reason it's Barbados apart from the obvious climate etc, is my cousin owms this place http://www.maxwellapartments.com and can help me with work and digs.
I know alot of people on here are feeling similar to how I have been feeling, all I can say is do whatever it takes to make you happy, you don't get any second chances! |

Yeah, I know what you're feeling there Leigh.
Things aren't bad for me at the moment, nothing to complain about per se, but I do still feel like there's something missing (no, not a woman  ).
Good on you though mate, get out there and make up your mind what's what.  |

i'm skint too, i am lucky that i have family theier. flights are £400 ish, so i can pay for that, but i am planning to work out there from day one. that way i don't have to pretend to save! thing is I've realised that you've got to take the opportunities and a risk just to be able to say 'well i gave it a go'!! |

You will enjoy Barbados so much especially if you got a "local" to show you round. My personal fave was hemp night and Jet Lee nights at the cinema's... funny as fook watching people come out high pretending to be jet and doing moves on each other stoned! I got a friend that lives there to as her family are originally from the Island and she finally left the UK for good 5 years ago. It's a great excuse for a cheap holiday to and last time we went we were out there for 3 months. I miss that Island so much but I didn't like the fact that EVERYONE begs if you're white!
As for the feeling down mate don't sweat it bruv. Seems like you're already thinking about ways to better your life or at least trying do something about the so called "rut" you think you're in. Just don't do anything to rash though as you'll go through this again when you're 40 summin and you'll end up buying a Porsche or going to Ibiza to sleep with 19 year olds  |
