not if its the same belt surely....u got nothces on the sprockets which u then line up to a certain number of teeth between...like the little white lines printed on them...... |

yeah I know, I am ringing round the now, I think the GOMA (Gallery Of Modern Art) are intrested, negociating a price the now, I said 3 million they said 2, I said no, I said 2.5 million, they said they will phone back, I am eagerly awaiting news... |

i think on your skim diagram, your cams are offset in the wrong direction tho! Maybe thats why the gallery hasnt called you yet!
ie timing marks would be offset clockwise
This is if i were being a picky pedantic sod, which i usually am. Unfortunate, given my own tendency of making schoolboy errors... |

the drawing is showing that if the crank is kept at TDC and the marks on the belts are used the cams will retard.
The distance between the cam and crank is shorter so for the belt to have tension whilst keeping the cam pulleys and belt marks mlined up and the crank still the cams have to move back. |

aye, i getcha.
For some reason i had it in my head that the front loop of the belt was the one with the tensioner instead of the back one. Dont know why, i spent long enough buggering about with it, so i should know!
Like i said...schoolboy errors galore from me. |

at first though you think since the overall height is shorter the cams should be pulled down (forward) as well, easy mistake to make. |

i see it now...and i also see that depending what side the tensioner is on depends which way it will be off.
good drawing....although it does look very rude imho!! |
