Its stretched on HMS Girlfriends car and now needs to people to open it
Can it be adjusted or is it new cable time? |

new cable.
ph2 cables seem to snap a lot I have found.
You can extend it as there shoudl be 2 holes on the bit at the catch, use the other hole. Not all cables have that though.
best to replace it.
I need to do project Y's. Dash off job to do it properly btw.
Or use the lhd set up which is a much shorter cable and won;t need the dash ripped off I would imagine. |

handle is part of the cable mofo.
Unscrew the old one (t30 long mofo screw) then pull the cable through, it runs behidn the heater box etc.
push new cable through in passenger footwell, then clear the way a bit, helps if you undo the 13mm nuts under the speaker grille on the dashtop and under the cove ront he bottom of the dash to get more room.
You will see the screw hole, thats where it mounts, 1 screw and the back edge or front from the drivers point is held by a lug on the handle. |
