when i bought my 19 16v last week there was a rubber mat on the rocker cover. me being the tool i am i ripped it off (i now know what its for lol) after the heavy rain last night i went to drive it this morning, but it was only firing on2 cylinders so i had the fun of sucking the water out of the wells with a mc donalds straw! oh joy! Very Happy

has no body com eup with a sensabul way of not gettin the water in yet?? as i looked on mine and one of the previuos owners has sealed up the slots in the spark plug cover

yes, ppl have made drain sheilds and sell them like Hill Power for example

i've never bought anything from Hill Power so where did u get the idea they have ripped me off ?

funnily enough i do have a drain sheild thou, made from carbon fibre and bought off of ebay for Â£5 lol

silly question i no but is it fitted to the bonnet underneith or ontop of engine??? any body got nay pictures or these fitted either home made or a branded one juts so i get the idea

the P clips clamp it under the strut brace.

I have mine with sheet steel, used to be clips that kept workign loose so I cut slots in it and fitted jubilee clips.

might be silly question but is the front brace soliif so i might drill and tap it then screw clips to it??

its tubular. You can drill it if you want but it will weaken it and make it more flexy (yeah, big deal). But why would you want to do that? its easier to just use clips anyway isnt it?
