Changed box two weeks ago (twice) as last one blew a hole in casin and everything was goin nice n smoothly.Changed clutch pedal (many thanks for help from Chris) and done about a thousand mile in it without a hitch.
Today heavens opened so roads a little slippery.Pulled out from traffic lights like you do n wheel spin like mad, next thing i know there is no power to the wheels so i think oh no clutch gone.stuck at roundabout waitin on a mate to tow me.gets car to his and checks car,strangely there is now absolutely no gears.No reverse no 1,2,3... now the gear stick moves in all the right directions and linkage to gearbox sound but with engine off and engine on there is just no selection.
I can make it crunch a little when i try reverse but i thinkin something has `popped off` in the gearbox durin the wheel spin.Any other ideas from anyone? and is it another box change again?
I love my 19 but this is gettin beyond a joke all this box on box off carry on i just want my baby to work lol |

WOW as simple as that. Took a spin to car n it did exactly as it said in tech guide.never noticed speedo movin yesterday.hopefully weather will improve here so i can get it done the mora.Thanks for ya help m8 |

Yeah did it mysel.gave a mate a hand to take engine out when box needed changed so thought id dive in n do it mysel.two hours to get it done n that cant be bad when i were out night before. Oh and i got the circlip in in one go too, luckily i had kept my old box and not skipped it so i got the bits from that.
N yeah Chris H would get a pint too. The mans saved me a fortune over last week |
