-Water in the right reverse light (!?! How it got there... like a little fish tank swishing around)....take the lense out dry it out and put it back and see if water gets in again if so id check the gaps between thew lense and the body
-The heater matrix not pumping out much hot air (shall flush it out this weekend... whats the situation with antifreeze? should it have antifreeze in already, if so, do I need to flush it, use rust remover stuff and then refill with water and antifreeze?).....50%water and 50% antifreeze i think if i remember correctly its about 8-9ltrs, when you flush the cooling system just get a hose and run fresh water thru it constently unitll it chucks out clean water out the bleed screw-
My friend (who has owned a same-engined-clio valver for over a year now) thinks the rear engine mount may be going. Apparently it kinda knocks back inbetween changing gears..... at 66k could be possible but then again might not be the rear might be the box mount
-Little bits of rust in the usual suspect place. Will sort out this weekend when I sort out heater.....remember p2's rust quicker compared to p1s so expect it on it under the side skirts and stuff |

coolant capacity is different on the versions.
You have 2 styles of metal piping on the side of the head, 2 different stat housings, oil-water heat exchanger on some etc. |

Hi again, another newb question (this may well be a never ending thread... maybe I should rename it to the car's registration plate and be done with it )
What should I expect to pay for a 66,000 mile service? (thats just air filter, some belts, oil change, etc. not including the cam belt, which should be at 72,000 -but I will do soon)
I got a quote at £120 inc. labour.
Also would it be worth doing it myself? Save a bit of money.. but no stamp for (near) FSH?
Got a quote for the cam belt too, £160-170 (4hrs labour)
What you guys think?
Anyone know of any pictures of the heating/cooling bleed valves locations please?(Can't get a haynes manual til sat) Ta |
