reversed the hdd plug and it now comes on and off as it should.

Take the CMOS battery out of your computer and leave it out for 20 minutes or so, this will reset the BIOS to the original and safe settings, put it back in and reboot.
Use static precautions, ive seen strange things happen when computers have been effected by static |

I done that cos tranton told me to, no change.
This laptops craps not very good compared to the pc. |

i got pc probs as well, when u start the pc up it gets as far as the log in screen and freezes, but when it does go in2windows u go on the net and it freezes and then goes to sleep and you cant wake it up unless you reset the pc again |

I've got the same problem with mine, I keep havin gto re-install Windows to get it working again. This time however it seems to be a bit worse as it stalls in dos when I'm trying to format the drives. |

Find out what HDD you've got and get the appropriate utility from the manufacturers website. Sounds like the drive might be on it's last legs. |

having to copy a dvd the now, its taking 3 times as long due to pish processor. which is maxed out at 100% usage at the mo running ie and dvd shrink!
