starter solenoid wire has either fallen off or broken.
if its a a newish clio/megane the wire will have fallen off, grab it and squeeze the spade up a bit to make it a tight fit.
If its broken off fit a new spade. |

Had the battery connector off to check some radio wiring on the radio (a whole other world of hurt-anybody know anything about the mehgane ph1 radio wiring, diagrams?) and when I reinstalled the battery connector and went to start the car-zippo, nada, zilch! I panicked a bit and wondered had I blown the sh!t out of an ECU or summat but I looked at the battery connector and it was heavily calcified. Cleaned it all down with a wire brush and it started on the button. The odd thing is that there was enough current passing through to iluminate the dash and give me interior lights-which all went ut as soon as I went to start the engine. Weird but worth a shot as this happened to me before in an old mitsubishi colt and it was exactly the same symtoms. |
