the "D" ECU has a 16 pin eprom in it? that doesnt sound right.. aren't they all 28 pin?
also, all this talk about alarms and immobs confuse me.. i do have an alarm and immob in my car, but at least the immob is retrofitted and not a ren.. not sure about the alarm.. how do the original immob work? is it turned off using the blip key for the locks? im pretty sure i haven't seen any of these "locks" you mention in glove compartment and above battery.. above the battery is nothing except the flimsy plastic cover as far as i can see.. or where is it exactly and how does it look?
the reason i'm asking this stuff is, i'm trying to get an overview of which ECU's are out there and which chips fit the different types..
