Ok a few months back I had a prang involving a pillar (my fault) in a multi storey and damaged the front bumper of my ph1 H-plate 16v chammy.
The car is fine to drive but the front bumper is cracked on the passenger side corner and loose on the passenger side and looks shite.
I've been quoted £470 (which I'm aware could buy another car!) to fix the front bumper but I don't know whether it's worth forking out for or whether to sell the car, get whatever I can for it and get something else - possibly a 16v convertible.
Don't want to claim on insurance as they will probably write her off.
The car is near mint except for the sodding bumper and the MOT is due in May so need to get it fixed by then.
What would you do? Any advice welcome, thanks!

just look around on ebay for a ph1 bumper or a car thats being broken and et the bumper of that and just get it fitted, but beware youll have to buy new screws and bolts and so on because no doubt the old 1s are rusty and will most prob snap |
