What is the best performance you can buy for £7000.
Whether it be modified or standered? |

I take best to mean standard.
Your probably looking at 0-60 5.X seconds, depending on what age the car is. It most likely needs to be turboed.
You may need another £1.5K to pay for the insurance too!
Don't forget to budget for the running costs of a car that returns twenty something mpg. |

You might want to go to the 'Tech Questions' section to get that sorted.
I'm tempted to say get a '99 Subaru or something like that. Whatever you get, make sure you do the sums first.
RX7
MR2 Turbo
200sx
Integra
TVR
Audi S3? Maybe > 7K

The other option was to go to BB tuning with 7k and see how much power that can outta me 19. I think the clio 16v always ends up takin the spotlight when it comes to the f16 whereas the 19 trails behind. Apparently these blocks can handle up to 400hp. I have a really long ratio on my box but havent the power to push it. Gets 115mph in third on the redline.
Cheers for the tip on mpg I'l hava look at that.
Whats the most powerful 19 anyone has heard of? |

Im not quite sure what box it is. I got it from findanengine.co.uk and was marked up a a standered 19 16v box, but the guy that fitted it said it definately weren't, he thought it was off of a Laguna. He reckoned most of the renault box shells fit on most renaults its just the internals that differ?
Don't know if theres any truth in that.
These are the ratios to the redline.
1st: 45mph
2nd: 70mph
3rd: 116mph
4th: Whatever it'll do
5th: Never used it lol
I'd like to take the rev limiter off to see if I could push a little more |
