We have had a problem in the past with a couple of users being abusive and the forum will not stand for it. If these events carry on then maybe the person or persons responsible would like to read the following statement:
"A racist incident is any incident which is perceived to be racist by the victim or any other person"
The Metropolitan Police and the London Borough of Ealing have now adopted this definition. This means that if you or another person tells a police officer or the housing officer that you perceive an incident to be racist then they must investigate and record the incident as a racist incident.
Racial Harassment' covers a range of acts that breach both criminal and civil law. Although `racial harassment' it is not recognised by existing law, "Harassment'' is a criminal offence, and is punishable in certain circumstances.
FrogFrog Whoever whatever, I am willing to take the details of this to the police, there is a lot of written evidence here to support this racist activity, and as we know your IP address can be traced |

Hes spot on! Even if the victim does not consider it to be racist, it will still be investigated as a racist incident. Good on you Mal. Anyway of tracing address details via the ip's or not? |

As much as I would like to see frogfrog go back to his swamp, this piece of legislation is a breeding ground for 'do gooders'.
If the person the alleged racism is directed at, hears it, and does not perceive it to be racist, what is the problem?
Bloody gypsies, oh whoops, I should have said 'Members of the thieving community'. |
