It's a shame,
We have an Island down our way that is packed with people, Canvey Island, a lovely place! it lies below sea level, has a massive gas works and they are building it up so much, there are only two roots off the Island and in 1956 there was a big flood, that they say will happen again ,but still people move there, The house prices are lower than surrounding areas, but who wants to live below sea level on a high risk flood area with poor evacuation links?
I was joking about it being a lovely place by the way! |

Sounds like a Corby to me!
Natural disaster not included!
they'll go for the work and it will dissapear.
The islands theres not much work, but you could make work for them. |

maybe its cold enough in scotland without adding insult to injury by moving to a cold island in the middle of the north sea lol |

theres a lot of fairly sizable islands up here roger.
If you have never been then its something you have to do. The weather can be iffy but white sands etc make it seem exotic, its really nice.
JB theres a couple of islands here where the main part is under sea level but sealed off around the edge is higher, like a bowl. |

Erm.....last time i checked there werent any islands in the middle of the north sea! LOL
Highlands and Islands of scotland is probably the nicest area in scotland to live. Nice views, fuck all people, quality roads.
But....
1)It rains all the time
2)No work really
3)Midgies! |

Yup, they are a right pain in the arse.
My family are all from the islands off the west coast of Scotland (skye and lewis). They are certainly somewhere worth going to - if you get good weather then they really are great places to be as their are great views, good driving roads and plenty other stuff.
I usually go up there at least 2 or 3 weeks a year. |

whats the problem with ppl leaving them anyway? isnt that good for the natural beauty etc of the places?
if everyone started moving there they would then moan that it is being over populated etc causing damage to the ecosystems blah blah...
some ppl just aint happy when they have nothing to moan about. |
