and the comments about MIG welding being easy....
its very easy to make a MIG weld LOOK good, very easy infact, but its not as easy to get good penetration and therefore a good weld.
generally i usemy arc for making shit since its higher amp=more penetration=easy welding heavy gauge. only use mig on cars...whish i try to avoid at all costs! |

ah right the same as my mig then, i can arc weld, its just a pain in the arse, i dont like arc welding, much prefer mig! |

yeah if i had a mig that went that high i would probably use it over the arc...but arc is cheaper, and i get free rods off my old man |

this flux core wire seems to work well...even outside...but then again i have never welded with anything else so maybe it is terrible but i just don't know it .
mine doesn't have an amp dial...just two switches...kinda like low medium and high lol.
i did a bit of arc (stick) welding on a course...quite fun, need a good bit of practise to make it neat, but it is a fucking strong weld. |
